Meet the Team

Ian Davies, Sales Director

Ian Davies, Sales Director

Ian joined Tate Oil in 2018 after a long career in the IT industry. As an integral part of the team, Ian oversees all divisions of the Tate Oil family, including Tate Heat and Tate Leasing.

Outside of work, Ian can often be found watching rugby, occassionally stupidly playing in a veterans game.

Cat Rafferty, Sales Manager

Cat Rafferty, Sales Manager

Cat started working at Tate Oil in 2011, and immediately found a passion for generating new business and building relationships with her customers! As the Sales Manager, Cat works closely with the team to ensure they reach their common goal of keeping their customers happy, and to make sure all orders are processed quickly. A vital part of the team, Cat’s creative ideas are a welcomed by all and her dedication to Tate Oil is unparalleled!

A proud mother of two, Cat enjoys spending quality time with her family and her two dogs, Alfie and Nala!

Andy McAllister, Head of Solar

Andy McAllister, Head of Solar

Andy has more than 20 years experience in the gas industry and almost another 20 years in renewable energy, reflecting his commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions. He is a passionate advocate for ensuring that rural engineering and manufacturing businesses gain energy independence.
As Tate’s Head of Solar, he draws on his experience in directoral roles, including as an Operations Director, bringing expertise in project planning, implementation, and management to ensure the successful integration of solar energy solutions.
Bruce Salt, Head of Finance

Bruce Salt, Head of Finance

Bruce is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser and has worked in a variety of finance and management roles in practice and industry.

Bruce oversees the accounts department, keeping a close eye on the numbers for Tate Oil and associated businesses.  He has a commercial background and is involved in key financial decisions and strategy for the businesses.

Away from his desk, Bruce enjoys running, reading, cricket and time with his two young children.

Fleet: New Business Sales Executive

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for multiple salespeople in our office in Southport!

Working with a friendly team, you’ll be part of a fast-paced, high energy environment where passion for success is crucial. Our industry is competitive, so being able to use your own initiative to create business leads and going above and beyond to make sure your customers’ needs are met is a fundamental part of the role.

The ideal candidate will be confident on the phone, have a positive attitude and a drive to succeed. Great customer service is key, as well as maximising sales opportunities and the ability to generate your own new business. You will receive a full induction and training for the role – so no experience necessary!

Duties

  • Generating new business
  • Building your own customer database
  • Making outbound calls
